NOTICE: Vic State Government/Sport & Recreation Victoria FACILITY DEVELOPMENT FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

THE City of Greater Geelong (COGG) is seeking expressions of interest for the following State Government funding opportunities:

Expressions of interest are invited from active sport and recreation clubs that are seeking funding for sport and recreation facility development projects.

Due to timeframes provided by State Government, we are limited to opening the EOI period for two weeks only.

Expressions of interest will open Monday 25 April, 2016 and must be submitted by midnight Sunday 8 May, 2016.

Eligible project proposals must:

  • demonstrate increases in participation as a result of the project;
  • increase female and junior participation (desirable);
  • have a clear project scope;
  • have supporting concept plans;
  • have a clear estimate of project costs; and
  • have a club capital or in-kind contribution.

Clubs that do not have the above supporting information should not apply. Please contact us and we can assist you in the development of your project.

Ineligible projects include:

  • projects that cannot meet the above criteria;
  • stand alone social room upgrade projects;
  • kitchen/bar stand alone upgrade projects;
  • storage facility upgrades;
  • replacement of like-for-like surfaces; and
  • facilities with little or no public access.

Funding for successful projects will be available in the 2017/18 financial year.

Applicants are encouraged to discuss projects with Council Officers prior to commencing an expression of interest.
