The genU All Abilities Football League gives players with an intellectual or physical disability the chance to play the game they love in a club environment and will be staged over four consecutive Saturday mornings.

The teams have been split up into two geographical zones with the Northern Hub comprising of Bell Park, Geelong Rangers and Lara United, while the Southern Hub includes Barwon, Drysdale and Surfside Waves.

“Drysdale Soccer Club was delighted to host the inaugural All abilities soccer hub for the southern Geelong region” said Paul Rawson, the All Abilities Coordinator for the Bellarine club.

“After several weeks of training and excitement building, it was fantastic to see all the teams kitted out in their uniforms and clearly the participants were loving it,” he added.

Rawson was also delighted by the support from the general members of the club who turned out to help turn a sausage, run the line or just give the newest members of our footballing family a cheer as they took to the field for the first time.

A huge ‘thank you’ to Transport Accident Commission (TAC), VicHealth, Football Federation Victoria, genU and Leisure Networks for your support.
