Basketball Northern Territory are proud to announce Territory Sportsmedicine as their official provider of physiotherapy and sports medicine related services for the next 3 years.

The official agreement was signed by both organisations today, after ongoing discussions over the last 12 months.

The agreement will see Territory Sportsmedicine provide physio and related services to Basketball Northern Territory’s National Performance Program, High Performance Program and Australian Junior Championship athletes for the next 3 years, including a physio that will travel with teams to all Australian Junior Championships.

CEO of Basketball Northern Territory John Mitchell was delighted with the finalisation of the agreement.  “It’s absolutely fantastic for our athletes and Coaches to partner with one of the premier sports-medicine organisations in the Northern Territory.  Basketball Northern Territory is excited to continue to develop the services we can provide our developing and elite junior athlete and this agreement allows us to do just that.”

Basketball Northern Territory High Performance Manager Rod Tremlett added “This partnership will ensure our developing athletes are cared for in a professional manner, ensuring they receive the advice and treatment as and when they need it.  TSM have already attended our first High Performance Camp, assisting athletes with muscle rolling techniques.  We look forward to continuing to work with TSM and their outstanding staff.”

On the partnership Territory Sportsmedicine added “We’re delighted to be working with Basketball NT and to have the opportunity to support their athletes over the coming years. Through injury prevention and treatment, we hope to ensure their players stay on the court and continue to play the sport they love.”
