2020 NWC U14 & U16 Rep Trials - have been suspended until further notice

Due to the recent announcement from Netball New Zealand, in respect of National response to Covid-19 all things netball have been suspended until further notice. This includes the Netball Wellington Centre U14's,U16's & U18's. We will come out with rep trial information as soon as we know what is happening in the netball world.

This includes postponing the Netball Wellington Centre U14’s,U16’s & U18’s Representatives Teams Trials which is fast approaching. After a number of discussion we are rescheduled them for the last weekend of the school holidays. This will be Saturday 25th April(ANZAC Day) Sunday 26th April and Monday 27th April (ANZAC Day Observed) With a closing date for registration Thursday 23 April 5pm.

Please be aware that these dates may be subject to change depending on further announcements in regards to Covid-19

 In 2020 the Netball Wellington Centre intends to offer the opportunity for players to trial for selection in one Under 14,two Under 16 and two Under 18 representative age grade teams. 

In order to name two teams for the U16 and U18 age groups we seek a large pool of talented players from which to select.  Trials provide a great experience for keen players - we strongly encourage all Senior A & B and Junior A & B team members along with any netballers who feel they possess the appropriate skill level and attitude to put your name forward and give it your best shot.

Trial eligibility:
* Must be aged under 14,under 16 or under 18 years of age as at 1st January 2020
* Must currently play for an affiliated school or club team within the 2020 Netball Wellington Centre winter competition played at the ASB Sports Centre or else gain dispensation from their current affiliated Centre to be released to trial

U14 Trial dates: 
Saturday  25th April 2020         from 1.00pm to 3.00pm
Sunday    26th April 2020          from 1.00pm to 3.00pm
Monday    27th April 2020         from 1.00pm to 3.00pm 

U16 Trial dates - 
Saturday 25th April 2020         from 10.00am to 12.00pm 
Sunday 26th April 2020            from 10.00am to 12.00pm 
Monday 27th April 2020           from 10.00am to 12.00pm 

U18 Trials:
Saturday 25th April 2020       from 10.00am to 12.00pm
Sunday 26th  April 2020         from 10.00am to 12.00pm
Monday 27th April 2020         from 10.00am  to 12.00pm

All trials are held at the Hataitai Netball Courts, 43 Ruahine Street, Hataitai, Wellington.

Inability to attend all trial dates:
We strongly recommend that trialists be available to attend ALL appropriate trials. 
Due consideration may be granted to those who indicate their unavailability upon submission of their representative trial nomination form upon provision of a valid reason for absence. Please therefore be sure to indicate any absences clearly using the NOTES field within the form so as not to unfairly disadvantage yourself.  In special circumstances a dispensation may be granted to those who provide a valid reason - please enquire via email to admin@netballwellington.co.nz.

Before trialing, please make yourself aware of the following information including team training and tournament commitments.  All successful trialists must be available to attend.

Sunday 5th to Tuesday 7th July 2020 - North Island Junior Championships held in New Plymouth (travel dates: depart Saturday 4th July, return late Tuesday 7th July)

U14,U16 & U18 Rep Trial Nominations close 5pm Thursday 23th April 2020

A nomination form must be submitted either by the trialist themselves or on behalf of the trialist prior to attending trials. For example, a previous Coach or School Sports Coordinator can submit a nomination on behalf of the trialist so long as the trialist is aware and agrees to attend. 
Coaches/Sport Coordinators - please advise players if you are nominating on their behalf so they know to attend trials.

Open Grade nominations open in late June.
