CORONAVIRUS and the Summer Season
ATTENTION ALL IN THE BVABA;
Due to the announcements made this morning by the Prime Minister of Australia, INDOOR gatherings of 100+ people are now banned - FROM THIS TIME ONWARDS - meaning that the current Summer Season 2019/20 that we were so hoping to be able to finish - is now SUSPENDED!
Games that were scheduled for tomorrow night (Thursday) will now not take place, and this will mean the end of the minor round. It also means that the planned grand finals will not take place next week as hoped.
These decisions have also been made in consultation with The Rex management.
BUT - Not is all yet lost - talks have started to try and run the finals at a later date - with the June Long Weekend a possibility where we could run semis, prelims and grand finals over a couple of days - stay tuned for that!
The BVABA Committee are saddened to make this decision as we thought it was important to finish the season for our players - but changes have forced our hand - and we thank you all for your patience in all this!
