SACBCI Staff resignation and appointment

As you may be aware Tanya (our Membership Executive Support Officer) recently gave birth to a son Logan, mum and bub are doing really well.  Tanya came to see us recently with Logan and, advised that she had made the decision to resign to spend more time with Logan and, due to the potential use and risk public transport (for her travel to work) may cause in the middle of a pandemic. Tanya, selflessly,  thought it was best to advise us as early as possible to allow us time to recruit a person for the position.

Tanya also mentioned she would be returning to Renmark where she has the support of her parents and friends and may retrain in another profession that would provide her with the flexibility to work and care for Logan.

Tanya expressed she had been agonising over the decision due to the time she has spent with us and the relationships she had established and enjoyed with staff and Associations . She hopes to remain in contact with us and has not discounted working with us again in the future.

We thank Tanya for her incredible work with us, the many hours spent supporting the Associations and her valuable contribution to our team.  We will miss her work ethic, her images from behind the camera and her ability to enjoy life and work in a fun environment.  We wish her and Logan all the very best in the future.

We had recruited Andrew to replace Tanya while she was on parental leave and Tanya herself was part of the recruitment process.  Andrew was provided with an in depth handover from Tanya and really had to learn quickly as we were in the middle of our busiest period.  Am sure you will agree Andrew has done a great job since joining us and has quickly adapted to life in SA Country Basketball with his calm demeanor and his willingness to learn and develop as a team member.

It will not surprise you to know we looked no further than Andrew to fill the vacant position.  Andrew has agreed to join us on a more permanent basis once Tanya's parental leave has been completed. We congratulate Andrew on his appointment as the new  Membership Executive Support Officer.

Regards,
Julie Anderson
