Hawks Trotto Back and Better for 2020
For the 2019 NBL1 Season, Jacqui Trotto was quietly added to the Ringwood Hawks roster with very little fanfare. But fast forward just 12 months and Trotto has established herself as a player to watch and looks set for a big NBL1 2020 season for the Hawks.
“Stats and numbers do not define Jacqui’s impact on the game.” Hawks Coach Tim Mottin explained.
“She is unselfish, she is an excellent defender, she is a leader and now her shooting has improved.”
Last season Trotto played a major role in the Hawks team that surprised many finishing the NBL1 season in 3rd place. She averaged 6 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out over 2 assists per outing but over the summer has been working on her game as a development player with the Southside Flyers.
With the experience of being involved in a WNBL program, the Hawks are hoping to reap the benefits of a more dangerous Trotto.
“She will definitely be one of the players we will need to step up if we are to again be a Finals team.” Mottin said.
“And we always know she will give her team 100% effort every time.”
