For those that didn't get the chance to check out the scores the South Australian Metro Under 20 Men's team unfortunately went down to Victoria Metro 59-72 in the Grand Final of the National Championships, so 18 year old PL gun Nick Marshall came home with SILVER.

The game was close, with Victoria getting off to a good start but SA came storming back and led by 2 at the half. Victoria had a big 3rd quarter (23/11) and led "comfortably" at the three quarter time break, but again SA came back and narrowed the lead to just 5 with minutes to go. Unfortunately Victoria hit a couple of big 3's and SA just couldn't bridge the gap for a third time.

A wonderful achievement for Nick, not just making the State squad, but getting all the way to the Grand Final of a National Championship!!

Quite an experience for a young player who came to the game "late" yet he managed to earn himself a place in the NABC Premier League squad last season, where he did prove to be something of a revelation.

With the experience of 2017, and now the National Championships, big things are expected of Nick at the Premier League level. An athletic 2 or 3 man, he is a scorer of note, who also rebounds well above his physical stature and can play the game "above the rim".

Good work Nick, you did NABC proud.
