North Adelaide Basketball Club, and the Men's Premier League squad particularly, would like to welcome Atem Atem to their roster for the 2018 season.

Born on the 24th of December 1991, Atem took up basketball in Sydney having moved there from his native South Sudan. A stint at a US college followed but Atem returned to Australia to play in several state leagues as he looked to expand his basketball experiences.

Having been offered a spot in the Adelaide 36ers development squad, (2014), and playing in several NBL pre-season games, he moved to South Australia and did play in the SA Premier League for Eastern in the 2015 season where he averaged 11 points and 6 rebounds. He has also had stints in Queensland, North West Tasmania and most recently Western Australia.

In March 2017, Atem played for the South Sudanese national team at the FIBA AfroBasket 2017 qualifiers. In four games, averaging 9.8 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.

At 203 centimetres, Atem will be an excellent addition to our front court and should provide some exciting moments in tandem with PL Superstar Alex Starling, whilst providing some much needed support on the boards for Adam Schild and Josh Graetz.

The squad looks forward to Atem's arrival in time for pre season training whilst the crowd at Hillcreest look forward to some exciting contributions on court.…/3/7331984/59afb0f35b3d070d3cb67af0
