Guardian Angel Animal Rescue

Our club has done a fantastic job this year supporting many worthy organisations through our home games and we thank everyone involved. We sell Anzac badges and donate that money to the RSL, we raised $2.800 for Beyond Blue and Black dog, and of course the great Club day for Linus the wonder dog.

On Saturday night, our first round of finals at Hillcrest,we are asking our families to support another charity. Guardian Angel Animal Rescue. I have had first hand experience of their wonderful service. They we are a volunteer organisation, that not only rescues and rehabilitates dogs in Adelaide, but also goes out into remote communities and picks up stray mums and litters, and takes the time (and money) to make these animals adoptable. If you are a friend of mine on Facebook you will receive a daily update on the work they do. Currently they are looking at sending a vet out to these communities to offer a de-sexing service for those who can not afford a vet.

So if you are lucky enough to know the amount of joy a happy healthy dog gives, could you please think about bringing along some good quality dry food to the game? I will take responsibility of delivering anything we collect and believe me, it will make a huge difference to this small group of dedicated volunteers

Many thnaks,
Barb Rowe

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
