The Tigers and Flames will square off in what should be an extremely entertaining Elimination Final this Saturday.
With the Flames are coming into the finals with questionable form, and the Tigers winning easily in the last matchup between these two just a few weeks ago, the advantage looks to be with the home team. With the newly crowned MVP and Woollacott Medalist on their side in Turnage, Southern will be up and ready to go in this one. However, while Turnage will get his, whether or not Gilligan will come through is yet to be seen, and could be a key to the game. Turnage is going to be a big presence inside, but if the Flames can play solid team defence and nullify the Tigers’ options aside from Turnage, they’ll go a long way to winning this one. Not to mention, Norwood’s line up, while struggling as of late, has the potential to be extremely dangerous. Their shooting through Brine, combined with the supreme threat of Legan, Lycett and the Webbers is enough to put any team on notice. They will need to shoot at a solid percentage and also defend a bit better than they have been lately to win this one, which they’re capable of.
Don’t be surprised to see the Flames start to find some form and grab what could be an upset in this one.
