If you are free this coming Sunday at 1:30 pm get down to the St Francis de Sales stadium to watch two MVP candidates go head to head. Carmen Tyson-Thomas and Amanda Frost are just two superstars of this league, and they will battle it out for a win this Sunday. For the Mavericks this will be their only fixture this weekend, while the Pioneers face the Tigers Saturday night. It is a tough ask to play the Mavericks usually, but when the Mavericks are fully fit, and the Pioneers are playing on back to back, it might be too much.
Hang Time Prediction: Eastern Mavericks
Men by Daniel Renfrey
After suffering perhaps their most disappointing loss of the season, 90-106 to the Panthers, the Mavericks will be looking to bounce back against the Pioneers, who will be on a back-to-back this weekend. While the team created opportunities to get into the game and give themselves a chance to win, their 21 turnovers and 9-17 shooting from the free-throw line came back to hurt them. McGee and Morris were both strong for their side, combining for 45 points, but it wasn’t enough to get their side close to a win. Eastern will need a full team effort against the Pioneers this week though, as they look to be on fire after defeating the Eagles and Warriors in back-to- back games. Mt Gambier have proved they have the fitness and skill to be successful in consecutive games, and if their deep line-up can rotate well and stick to the game-plan on both ends of the court, which is looking harder and harder to overcome, there is no reason why they can’t win both of their games this round again.
