NCBA Covid-19 Level 2 Update - 12/8/20

With the government announcing that the country outside of Auckland will be entering alter level 2, we have made some changes to our programs and trainings to ensure that we can safely continue basketball during this time.

Unfortunately, due to the gym not being available during level 2, we have had to postpone tonight’s Hoops and Stars session. We will revisit a restart next week.

Club Trainings will continue with the additional procedures;
• All sessions will finish 10 minutes earlier than normal. This will allow for the transition between sessions. Please do not enter the gym early for your session, and wait for the previous group to leave before entering.
• Training restricted to players, coaches and managers only. Parents please wait in cars, or drop off and pick up. This is to help ease contact tracing and roll taking required by coaches/managers.
• Players and coaches to sanitize hands before and after sessions. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
• If you are feeling unwell, please stay at home.

Please remember the importance of additional hygiene measures, including hand washing, cleaning surfaces, coughing or sneezing into your elbow, and staying home if you feel unwell.

We are asking our community to make sure they are up to date with the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 webpage, particularly the health advice for the general public section.

North Canterbury Basketball will continue to update all players and officials via our social media channels and website.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
