“Desi is a young captain that keeps growing as a player and leader each season, she is a valued leader on and off the court and is a player our juniors look up to by the way she works on the court. The passion, determination and work ethic she brings to games and training definitely sets the tone of how the team performs, this is a great quality to have as a person and we are very fortunate to have her lead our squad.”

“We are expecting Desi to have a productive NBL1 West season and I know she will put the work in the pre-season so she’s ready to make an impact on defence and offensive in an exciting year for the club”

Captain Desiree Kelley was equally as excited to officially re-sign with the club for next season “I am really excited to be re-signing with Willetton, it has been my second home since I was 5 years old and I am looking forward to continuing to play for such a prestigious club.

“The team we are going to put together is going to very exciting and I am honoured to be the Captain of the woman’s side. I will continue to do everything I can to lead the team to the best of my ability and to the Championships”.
