Scott set to light up NBL1
The Willetton Tigers have finalized their back court for the 2021 season with the signing of multiple club MVP and guard Damien Scott for next season.
Scott who is an experienced and highly respected player within the league is a dynamic guard and scorer for the Tigers where he averaged 19.5ppg last season.
For new Tigers Head Coach Adam Nener, securing the signature of Scott was a priority upon his appointment to the role at the club.
“Scotty is arguably one of the best guards in the league, having the backcourt of Blacky and himself re-sign is huge for us. I don’t think Scotty gets enough credit for the work he does on the defensive end of the court. He can certainly turn a game around really quick and we are glad he has decided to return to the Tigers for next season” said Nener.
Scott who has played 268 games in the SBL and scored 4428 points during his career at the top level in Western Australia was highly sought after in the off-season and his signing is a big boost for the club on and off the court.
The club is looking forward to Scott continuing to play an important role off the court next season with the talented Tigers junior players where he has featured regularly in early morning coaching sessions and is assisting the next generation of Tigers to improve their games within the club.
