Brisbane City goal machine Antonio Murray has been confirmed as the clubs first signing of the PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland 2016 season.

Murray, who was the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland 2013 Golden Boot winner, is the first player confirmed for new City coach John Kosmina and returns to the club for his fourth season in Queenslands elite club competition.

The 31-year-old has proved a font of goals for City over the past three campaigns - winning the clubs golden boot in 2015 and sitting fourth in the competitions all-time goalscoring chart with 45 goals in as many appearances.

Murray said he is looking forward to working with Kosmina as City seeks to reassert itself as a force in PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland next season.

John Kosmina is a big name in the game, especially in Australia after coaching in the A-League, and is definitely a big appointment for the club, not only on the field but off it as well.

He added, When he was announced you could tell there was a buzz around the club, especially for the younger lads looking to kick-on with their careers.

Murray took over the captains armband midway through the previous campaign after Darron Heselden took the coaching reins following the departure of Glen Volker, but Murray said there was no indication yet of the make-up of the club's onfield leadership group.

Its still the off-season and Ive only met Kossie once and that was after a game, so Im sure we will have more conversations regarding that when we are back in training next month, he explained.

He added that while he is again hoping to top the goalscoring charts for the club, and adding to his tally of three PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland hat-tricks, he wont set a personal benchmark ahead of the season.

I dont really set a target. I just take each games as it comes really. As a striker I just try to score as many goals as possible, he concluded.
