OCEAN GROVE will be the local venue for the upcoming Football Federation Victoria (FFV) Summer Sevens football competition. Register your team now to be part of the Wednesday night league. FFV will be offering Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 boys and girls along with open men, open women, open mixed and men's masters.

Summer Sevens is Football Federation Victoria's social format of the game. It is 7-a-side short, sharp social football played on half the size of a normal pitch and is the perfect chance for you to grab your mates, register and play competitive football in a social and relaxed environment.

With a large emphasis on fun, fitness and social benefits that only a team sport can offer, it is suitable for people of all ages and skill levels. Summer Sevens is for players aged 10 and above and provides everyone with the opportunity to touch the ball more often, improve your skills and play in a more fun and social environment.

Summer Sevens is the perfect way to develop players with twice the amount of touches on the ball and shots on goal. It is half the pitch, half the players, but double the fun (and in the sun).

Teams do not have to be club based. It can be friends, uni students, players from multiple teams coming together, family etc. It is an opportunity to keep on playing during the summer in a more relaxed environment.

The requirements for people to form teams is very simple. The bullet points below outline the process:

-       - Team Managers head to www.footballsevens.com.au and click register by September 22

-       - Complete the online registration from, including payment ($450 team fee up front) which only takes 5 minutes

-      -  Receive notification of the team registration from FFV

-       - Complete the player spreadsheet by the end of September (we require basic player details) and send it back to FFV.
