NOTICE: Surf Coast FC seeking Senior women for GRFC comp

SURF Coast FC is seeking women from around the Geelong region to play Women’s football at the local level with the Torquay based club in season 2016.

The Surf Coasters, based at the magnificent Banyul Warri Reserve in North Torquay, are looking to top up their Senior squads ahead of the upcoming GRFC winter season, which commences on Saturday 9th of April.

According to club spokesman, Michael Pocklington, it would be a great opportunity for local females who haven’t played football in the past to take up the game in 2016.

“We are struggling for Senior Women players at the moment. We have a lot of new players this year (which is great) but with a number not returning or their pathway having taken them to Galaxy United (again this is great) we need more women to top up our local teams,” Pocklington said.

He urged other clubs who might have too many senior Womens’ players to contact him, so that everyone wishing to play Women’s football this year, could be accommodated.

Any interested players or clubs wanting more information, can contact Michael Pocklington from Surf Coast FC at surfcoastinfo@gmail.com
