SBA is thrilled to announce that we are going to be part of the HOYTS Little Champions program which means we can offer 12 of our female basketballers aged between 8 and 12 a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022 in September.

Our players will get the chance to meet the Women’s World Cup players and stand with the athletes on the court, during the national anthems, prior to tip-off at the USA V China game at 2.30pm on Saturday 24 September. The game is being played at the Sydney SuperDome, Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush.

Players who are chosen to participate in the program will receive a free ticket to the game, a HOYTS Little Champions singlet (which they will wear on the day), a HOYTS cinema double-pass, a keepsake postcard and a digital team photo to commemorate their time on the court.

A link will also be provided for families and friends of participants to purchase additional tickets to sit with their Little Champions at the games. Participants and their families will need to arrange their own transport to and from the event.

Female players, currently registered with SBA and aged between 8 and 12, can enter the draw to be selected to be a HOYTS Little Champion by emailing their name to admin@shoalhavenbasketball.com.au. Please use “Hoyts Little Champions Program” in the subject line of the email.

The closing date for entries is Tuesday 30 August at 5pm.

The lucky participants will be advised by email and announced via SBA social media on Wednesday 31 August.
