NZ played smart touch creating mismatches and converting them into points by bouncing the link out with Jordan setting up the first try. Australia came back strongly and may have even thought they had a chance when the score was 5-3 at one stage but another touch down by NZ soon put paid to any glimpse of hope they may have experienced.
Final score NZ 6 – Aus 4
Comments from Captain – Jordan Rodgers Rhind
Our team was quiet and was looking to get involved more with our discipline to stick with the game plan which was to hold back and not slow all our plays. As a team we needed to expose their weaknesses, overall our team is enjoying the tournament immensely and gelling extremely well.
