MANLY TOUCH U7s & U9s LOCAL COMP RULES
With our Junior Summer Competition fast approaching please familiarise yourselves the rules for our Manly Touch U7s & U9s Competitions.
MWTA Local Competition By-Laws - U7s & U9s Modified Rules
As the U7s girls and boys are new to the sport there are a number of rule modifications which are slightly different to our normal U9s rules which you will need to know. The most important modification is that in U7s the attacking team is allowed their full set of 6 touches regardless of any infringements (drop balls, late passes, etc).
For the U9s competition, the rules will also remain the same as per previous years, but once again if you are new to the sport, we would encourage you to read these rules. The key change to representative rules for this age group is that in Manly Touch local junior comp games the defence is not able to move up until the first receiver has caught the ball. The defence can move up if the dummy half runs with the ball.
