Netball Hutt Valley Umpires Representative

I am a mother of 3 grown children and a grandmother to 1 little cutie.  I have been playing involved with netball since primary school and have never had a year where I did not do something with the sport since that beginning. My husband calls himself a netball widow when the season begins J

I started coaching a college team about 23 years ago so as I could give back to the sport.  Since that beginning I have developed my coaching skills to be able to coach college premier teams, club premier teams and now will embark on coaching a representative team for Hutt Valley.  I have enjoyed success with developing teams and players skills over that time and always thrilled when I see players learn things, achieve their goals and have success on the court

I also took up umpiring when the girls started playing the sport when they were in primary school.  I am also part of the Hutt Valley Umpires Association Committee as the secretary.  I am a coach/assessor for umpires to Zone level.  This means that I have the opportunity to help young umpires hone their skills and become awesome umpires. 

The reason I joined the committee is  I would like to do as much as I can to help keep the excitement in netball in the Hutt Valley.  We have some talented players in Hutt Valley and I would like to see more girls follow the netball pathways and represent Hutt Valley at a high performance level.  I look forward to working with the Executive team to provide a great atmosphere at the courts with a lot of opportunity for talent development.
