Langwarrin FNC is the latest recipient of a Worksafe AFL Victoria Football Infrastructure Program (FIP) Grant for the installation of a new electronic scoreboard at Lloyd Park. Home to both the junior and senior divisions of the club, the new scoreboard will greatly enhance the environement for spectators and volunteers alike.
In annoucing the grant, AFL South East Region General Manager Jeremy Bourke said, "the replacement of the old manual scoreboard removes around 60 hours of volunteer time in the application of that role and that is just in the senior grades. It also removes the need for a volunteer to stand out in the elements, well away from the rest of the club, its members and other volunteers".
Langwarrin FNC have been granted $8000 for the installation, which according to the club should be in place prior to the end of the season.
