Following the 2020 AGM and with a full return to basketball on the horizon for 2021 Port Macquarie Basketball Association has a range of paid positions available.  

 

 

Vacant Positions

Competitions Coordinator: Working with the Competitions Committee to set-up and support the Junior (Monday night) and Senior (Wednesday night) competition. The Coordinator leads the Competitions Committee and is encouraged to regularly review and improve the competition structure. 

Operations Coordinator: 12 month contract position, approximately 20 hours a week managing PMBA office, administrative tasks, member enquiries, Aussie Hoops support and data entry.

Aussie Hoops Junior Coaches: As our Aussie Hoops program expands we will be looking to increase the roster of Junior Assistant Coaches. Current members / players in Under 16 and Under 18 age groups looking to coach can send an Expression of Interest to Development Officer, Robert Linton r.linton@portmaquariebasketball.com.au Include your name, contact details and relevant coaching or playing experience. 

 

 

Roles Recently Filled

The roles below were filled in February 2021. Details will be available in the organisational structure. 

Referee Administrator: Working as part of the Technical portfolio to recruit, support and train referees for domestic competition and representative level. 

Court Controller: Working in the technical team to ensure the smooth running of Monday and Wednesday night competitions. 

Covid Safety Officer: Responsible for monitoring the Covid check-in and cleaning process for Monday and Wednesday competition evening and Thursday Aussie Hoops. 

Representative League Coordinator: Assisting representative coaches, managers and players with the logistics of being part of the Senior and Junior Representative Programs.

Technical Education Officer: Oversee training and development for all technical officials including referees, score table and court controllers.
