Basketball has over 1,000,000 participanst and is booming in growth given the rise of Australian players playing in both the NBA and professional leagues. Australian kids are highly regarded by US colleges for their work ethic and attitudes and basketball fosters that inclusive family approach.
We are the number 2 most popular global sport and both our men and women are world class and we are the current under 17's girls World Champions. and Liverpool has produced players who have represented internationally and also at the professional level.
We are a Development club meaning we invest in our players rather than go and search for players from other clubs and run the Aussie Hoops program which has around 100 kids per term under the age of 10 years of age and growing. We have a long proud record of supporting our community and partnering with the Local schools, councils, community groups and also Department of Sport with programs ranging from Special needs to elite programs.
We participat not only in the BNSW Metro junior leagues but also in the Barrengary Leagues run throughout the Southern Highlands during the year and we participate in National competitions and in 2018 our Under 14 boys won their division at the prestigous Nunawading Queens birthday tournament and with more than 500 teams from around the nation and NZ participating cross all competitions.
Our weekly senior competitions have 29 teams playing off in social games and 14 junior social teams as well as our popular development programs.
