The GSABA is offering U10's trainings on a Friday Nights on Court 2 at the Victor Harbor Stadium from 4.00pm to 5.00pm due to the success of the initial program. The program commences from 28th Feb and runs each week until 3rd Apr. This is an extra training on top of club trainings. This is the same type of training we were offering on Sundays. There is a $2 a session fee payable on the night.more
The GSABA wants to remind all members that Green Shirt Umpires should not be talked to during the games and should not be approached. You have to accept the call. If there is an off-curt Umpire in Charge use this process or at a break discussion can occur with the Senior referee.more
The City of Victor Harbor have been meeting the timelines set out in the original proposal and we are at the Feasibility Study & Preliminary Design Stage.
This stage was tendered out. Tredwell Management won the tender. Tredwell Management have a very sound knowledge of the project objectives as they were previous consultants and drafted the original Master Plan.more
The GSABA Under 10 Competition will be played out of the Victor Harbor Stadium Court 2 and the Victor R-7 Primary School for the rest of the Summer Season. I wish to apologise personally to all our members affected as I was the one responsible for the administrative error that has led to the venue change.
The new venue, the Victor R-7 Primary School has a set of rules that must be adhered to.more
The GSABA Under 10's Sunday Trainings are not continuing at this point in time. It was a trial period before Christmas to give the U10's an extra training session other than their Club training. Thanks to all the players and parents who supported the program.

Tredwell Management have recently been commissioned to prepare the Southern Fleurieu Regional Sport & Recreation Precinct Feasibility and Preliminary Design Project. GSABA Management and the GSABA Referee Department has agreed to hold a meeting inviting all members. The Referee Department will outline the Umpire Directions, explain what coaches, players, scorers and spectators can do, outline rule interpretations, work on improved communications between players, coaches and umpires and gain feedback and have open healthy debate.more

Junior Clearances will be scrutinized by the GSABA Management and will not just be rubber stamped. A recent Presidents Meeting between the 5 presidents concerns were raised about "super teams" being created. It creates unevenness in competition, isn't ideal for player development, we want competitive games where good players play against each other testing their abilities and enhancing developmentmore

Round 5 is the last chance for teams to sort their teams when they have two or more teams in a competition. Players playing for a team in Round 6 are aligned to that team under the By-Laws and for qualifying purposes.more

The GSABA has now opened up the rounds after Round 5 and they can be found on the Fixtures/Results Tab on the website. GSABA Management discussed and looked at rescheduling options and we decided to use the two main stadiums, the Victor Stadium and the Goolwa Stadium. We acknowledge that in some competitions more games are programmed at Goolwa stadium.more

The Encounter Bay Working Party which includes the GSABA met on the Gillespie Land Site with Councillor Brayden Mann, City of Victor Harbor's Brian Doman and ORS Star Club Officer Jeremy Bell on Monday 21.01.2019. We were shown where they expect the Basketball Stadium and Athletics field to be placed. The area is relatively flat and is a decent sized area. Soil testing is being organised shortly.more
