Altona Basketball
Formed in 1990 the Altona Bay Basketball Association (ABBA) moved into "The Swamp" at the Altona Sports Centre in 1992.
ABBA is responsible for the development of local basketball overseeing the following programs:
• Mini Gators – introduction to basketball
• Junior Domestic Competitions – grassroots basketball played locally
• Senior Domestic Competitions – local basketball competition
• Senior and Junior Representative Basketball - Altona Gators Championship program’s
Junior Championship teams compete against Associations throughout Victoria each Friday night within the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL).
Senior and Youth Development teams compete in the BIG V Basketball League.
