Representative Season Success

The 2019 representative season has wrapped up over the past few weekends with our Lachlan United teams having a very successful season.

Over the June Long Weekend, the Under 14’s team, coached by Steward Lamond, attended the Country Cup held in Wagga Wagga after finishing the Western Youth League competition as runners up.

During the weekend the team played four of the best Country teams in regional NSW (Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Shoalhaven and Far South Coast). The team had great success over the weekend finishing 3rdoverall.

“I would like to congratulate the Lachlan United side on the way that they played and developed during the representative season” Steward said. “I would also like to thank the parents and families for taking the team around the country side over the past few weeks” he added.

All the players would also like the thank the generous support and sponsorship of French Taste Bakery, Medlyns Auto Service Centre, Andrews Auto Electrics and Byrne Clothing and Embroidery for the supply of the representative jumpers and playing shorts worn at the Country Cup.

The Under 12 Lachlan United season has also now wrapped up after playing 12 games over 6 weeks finishing with 4 wins, 2 draws and 6 losses.

During the 2019 the team played matches against Dubbo, Bathurst, Mudgee, Lithgow and two teams representing Orange. In the final round of the competition they pushed eventual Champions, Orange Tigers, all the way but unfortunately went down 4-3 but secured a win over Lithgow.

“I would like to thank the parents for their commitment to the team over the past few weeks along with all the players” said Coach Brett Pinkstone.

All players from both sides would also like to thank the Coaches for the time and effort they have put in during the season and assisting with their development to become future stars.
