Nominations welcome for 2014 Life Members and Service Awards

In 2013 our Centre was fortunate to induct a number of Service Award recipients including Kelly Herbert, Kirsten Lloyd, Paulette O'Reilly. Charmaine Meredith and Sandra Edge.  We also delighted in welcoming Waimarama Taumaunu to our list of very worthy Life Members.

We'd love to continue to acknowledge and celebrate even more long-serving members of our netball community.  We know there are a number of worthy candidates who are deserving of the honour out there therefore we wish to launch the call for nominations and give schools and clubs more time up your sleeve to give due consideration to submitting your nominations.

Please note that the Service Award and Life Membership award nominations are now open for 2014. If you know of someone who has made a valued contribution or service to netball, please take a look at the criteria and think about nominating them for these awards.

A Service Award nominee needs to have provided an on-going significant contribution in administration, coaching and/or umpiring at Club, School, Associate member or NWC Level.

Life Member Award nominees needs to hold the Netball Wellington Centre Service Award prior to nomination for Life Membership.

Please find an outline of criteria as well as nomination forms for each of these awards attached below.

Please be sure to gather and provide as much information as you can to enable the Service Award and Life Membership Committee to consider the nomination favourably and make a well-informed decision.  The information will also be utilised during the awards presentation at the AGM.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
