Dates & Venue Details
Monday 15th July to Thursday 18th July 2013
ASB Sports Centre
72 Kemp St
Kilbirnie, Wellington

Volunteers are an integral part of any netball event and a successful event needs committed, passionate people like yourselves, who are willing to give your time and expertise.  If you are interested in being a volunteer please read on!!

The first 3 days are going be long days (14 hours) so the day has been broken up in into 3 shifts (see Volunteer Form attached).  Shifts on Thursday are not as long however there are still three to be filled.  All volunteers are welcome to offer to do more than one shift per day.

The following roles are required per shift:

  • 6 x court controllers
  • 6 x umpire liaisons
  • 6 x team liaisons
  • 1 x results coordinator – people that have a good eye for detail
  • 1 x PA system controller – people that have a good clear speaking voice
  • 2 x floaters – people that can be flexible and fill in / relieve in any role

All volunteers will be fed, watered and supplied with a black vest by NNZ. Dress code will be black trousers/trackpants (no logo), black top, black vest and comfortable shoes.  Given the recent temperatures in Wellington it may pay to pull out your thermals.

The attached docs may assist with establishing your availability:

  • Draw – might help you decide what shifts you can do
  • NZAGC Poster – feel free to send this far and wide and/or print off and give out to your Centres/Clubs/Teams
  • Volunteer Form – this needs to be completed and sent back to Cathy Roa at cathyroa@gmail.com.  Job descriptions will then be distributed.

Please feel free to forward this anyone you think might be interested.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
