Talent Development programme for 13-18 year olds - starts 1st June!
Whether you attended our pre-season talent development held prior to our representative trials or attended our representative trials and unfortunately missed out on a place in the squad or you may have enjoyed attending our Junior Netball Academy and have since moved on to college and have been wishing there was a netball activity aimed at your age-level... this is the programme for you!
Due to the popularity of our pre-season talent development programme, the Netball Wellington Centre is excited to offer another Talent Development programme aimed at all netball players aged 13 - 18 years old. Everyone has some talent that needs to be nurtured and this is a great chance to develop yours a little more! Come and gain some extra insight, tips, hints, pointers, guidance and challenge and have fun in the process!
There are six sessions on offer held each Wednesday for six weeks starting on Wednesday 1st June run up at the Hataitai Netball Courts from 5.00pm - 6.00pm with the aim of assisting players to improve their netball skills, technical ability and knowlege including focus on body balance, fundamental movement and footwork, skill development and injury prevention. Session dates are as follows:
- Week 1 - Wednesday 1st June
- Week 2 - Wednesday 8th June
- Week 3 - Wednesday 15th June
- Week 4 - Wednesday 22nd June
- Week 5 - Wednesday 29th June
- Week 6 - Wednesday 6th July
We are fortunate to retain the expertise of our current Netball Wellington Centre Under 15 Representative level coaches Olivia Webb and Sandra Edge. Both were involved in running our terrific pre-season programme and wish to continue to develop and encourage keen young netballers having seen the impressive skill shown at the first talent development and hoping to maintain college-level players interest in the great game of netball and allow them to play to their best ability.
This 6 week programme costs $50 to attend and we are happy to receive payment by the following methods accompanying your registration:

- Payment can be made electronically to: Bank: ASB Branch: Lambton Quay Acc no: 12 3141 0055535 00. Please include the PARTICIPANT’S FULL NAME and reference “TALENT” as the payment particulars.
