But grab a strong coffee because it will start at almost midnight
THE ABC will provide a national replay of the AFL's Indigenous All-Stars v Adelaide match from Darwin.
The match will be replayed at 11.20pm on ABC1 on the night of the game, the details of which can be viewed here:
ABC1 guide for Saturday, February 7.
But the news is not good for fans of the State-based leagues; the ABC again refusing to broadcast national replays in 2009. ABC2 had replayed the matches of the round from the WAFL, VFL, SANFL and NTFL from 2005 but ended the service with no plausible explanation early in 2007, outraging fans across the country.
A spokesman from ABC Audience and Consumer Affairs told
AboriginalFootball today that this will remain the corporation's position, but no reasons were given why.
"I have discussed your request with the programming staff from ABC2, who have advised that there are no plans to repeat any of the State-based football coverage on ABC2," he said.
ABC1's live telecast of its match-of-the-round in those particular States will remain. And for NTFL fans, replays in the Northern Territory will return from Sunday, February 15.
