The McDonald’s Mackay Meteors are extremely happy to announce that Chris Cedar has signed to play and captain the team again for the 2019 season.  After many discussions with management and new head coach Jason Borg, Cedar is as keen as mustard to prepare for the season ahead and is looking forward to leading the team into the 2019 season. 

“Chris’s signing was a priority of ours and we had to ensure that we had our skipper on board for the 2019 season.  Chris brings great leadership and is one of the best guards in the competition and we are very pleased that he is strapping on the boots again for Mackay”, QBL Program Manager, Wade Rebetzke said. 

“You will see more of Chris in the point guard role this year and we are extremely excited about that as we believe he has the ability to direct the team around the floor and create shots for his teammates.  We are putting the ball in Chris’s hands and it’s his team to run and we as an organisation are very comfortable with that”, Meteors Head Coach, Jason Borg said. 

Chris is extremely excited about the opportunity to run the team in the point guard role again.  “It’s been a while since I have been given the opportunity to run the point and after speaking with Wade and Jason I can’t wait to have the opportunity to run this team” , Cedar said.  “We have great local talent in this team and if we add the right pieces I believe we can have another very successful season.”  Cedar said.
