Round 2 of this year’s Eastern Region Competition (ERC)- Open Foil, will be held on Sunday 21st April at the Fioretto Fencing Club. This competition is restricted to clubs in the East of Melbourne.
Registration:
Please note the registration time of 10am, followed by 10.30am role call. People can register up to the last minute but none are registered after role call is made.
Cost:
Entry - $10.00. Fencers must be affiliated with Fencing Victoria to participate.
Please Note -
This year, (based on feedback Fioretto have had from seniors), Fioretto FC will be applying a blank minimum age restriction policy to this OPEN classified event. No fencers under the age of 13 years old on the 1st of January 2013 may enter the competition. This is both for safety and for the enjoyment of the senior fencers who often feel uncomfortable and concerned when having to fence very young fencers in a competitive environment. This ruling will be reviewed at the end of the season.
The ERC is aimed at establishing regional level competition to flow into State competition, this is why it is only open to clubs in the East of Melbourne. Clubs based at the SFC or in the inner city are considered Central Region (Central Melbourne zoning). Clubs in the East, North East and South East are welcomed. This also keeps participation numbers to a level that is manageable with our limited piste space.
Location:
Fioretto Hall is located at the F.E. Hunt Reserve, in Highland Avenue, Oakleigh East. It is just off Ferntree Gully Road near the Forster Rd exit of the Monash Freeway, near Monash University.
