The North Mackay Saints will be looking to record back to back wins, when they host the Eastern Swans at Zeolla Park on Saturday morning.
And the Eastern Swans will be looking to kick-start their 2016 campaign against their cross-town rivals.
North Mackay, are coming off a physical match against the Moranbah Bulldogs and no doubt a few of their prime movers are carrying a few knocks still. The likes of Allyce Marchetti, Miya Scott, Rahnee Vaccaneo and co will again be important with the Saints are to record the 'W'.
For the Swans, new recruit Abby Anderson has been one of the finds over the off-season and joins established stars in Alana McNabb and Madeline Johnstone as key Swans this season.
However, injuries to a few key Swans will test them this week but after the winning the North Queensland pre-season carnival in Airlie Beach, these Swans know how to win.
X-Factors
Lyneeka Malone #8 (Saints) - Silky outside player, that likes to run and a player the Saints look to get the football to, as much as possible. Very quick over first 5-10metres and can break games open at important times.
Abby Anderson #27 (Swans) - Basketball recruit, with fantastic spatial awareness, loves the contested situation and always put the team first, second to none for defensive acts.
