Eastern Swans, Mackay City Hawks and Bakers Creek Tigers have claimed the first premiership points of the 2015 Allied Pickford's Cup Division 1 men's season.
In the match of the round the North Mackay Saints were no match for the Hawks in the cross-town derby, with Brodie Saltmarsh (7) and Jarrod Watling (4) combining for 11-goals to lead Mackay City to an impressive 99-point victory at Zeolla Park.
Pre-Season champions Eastern Swans continued their winning form, running riot at Rogers Oval over an under-strength Whitsunday Sea Eagles outfit. The Swans had 9-individual goal-kickers including an individual haul of 6-majors to Ivan Walker.
And the Tigers have roared in their opening match of the 2015 Allied Pickford's Cup season with a hard fought 34-point win over the Magpies at Etwell Park. Bakers Creek Quinton Quakawoot was one of the yellow and blacks best along with forward Dean Hannon who booted 4-majors for the match.
