LYVNA Tournament

Wow.  What a day!

The sun was shining, the BBQ was pumping, we had a full fixture and everyone seemed to be ready for a great day.

We had our annual LYVNA tournament last Sunday where we hosted nearly 50 teams from other associations for a Rep Team Tournament.  We had teams from as far a Sale visit our complex.

It was a great day, successfully run by our committee, with a number of our teams winning the grand final.

Gibbo's 11U-1 and Karly's 11U-2 won their grand finals.  Tim's 13U-2 made it to the grand final in the 13U open section losing to a very strong Banyule team 1 and finished ahead of Mick's 13U-1, who finished 3rd.  Clare's 15U-1 won the 15U open section and Shaz's 17's finished 2nd.  The rest of the teams did us all proud on the day.

Thank You

A special thank you to Shaz and Andy Spencer for doing all the preparation work for the BBQ and serving and running the BBQ during the day.  Thanks also to David Anderson and Paul Cullimore for cooking the BBQ all day. Starting at 7:30am they ended up cooking over 35 dozen eggs.  Shaz thinks there could be possibility to launch that great BBQ aftershave you boys where both wearing after 7 hours cooking.

To all the parents for helping to serve at the BBQ, canteen and supporting the cake stall with all the home made goodies. It was great to see so many master chefs out there.  With out your help on the day we would not have had a successful day. The money made from the cake stall and BBQ will go towards the girls trip to Mildura.

A special note to say thank you to Dominic Lamonica and his business
