More than 1000 athletes are taking part in the Papua New Guinea Games in Port Moresby this week. Athletes from all over PNG have come together for the multi-sport event which has proved to be a huge success.
The athletics competition has attracted record numbers with National athletes joining first time athletes across all disciplines.
Toea Wisil and older brother Kupun Wisil will be looking to make it a family double today in the 100 metres final, but with Mae Koime returning to the athletics stage she looks ready to ruin the party for the Wisil family.
Kevin Kapmatana ran an impressive 400 metre semi-final in very poor weather yesterday afternoon (48.68), whilst Wale Gime ran a controlled 51.24.
The event has also included a number of disability events and the results of these will be posted to the web once they are available.
