Toea Wisil and Nelson Stone wound up their participation in the Asian Grand Prix Series in the city of Wujiang on Sunday evening with very good performances in their respective events. Wisil flew out of the blocks and for 80m ran shoulder to shoulder with eventual winner Khubbieva Guzel of Uzbekistan before finishing third in a time of 11.67 seconds. After a poor start in Jiaxing the previous week, Stone found some form and ran an excellent 47.32 seconds to finish 5th in a very competitive race.
Mowen Boino was also in China and clocked a best time of 51.66 seconds in the 400m hurdles to show that he has lost none of the good form he showed at the Queensland Championships in March this year. The mens 4*100m relay team started off with a clocking of 42.01 seconds in Jiaxing and improved this slightly to 41.97 in Kunshan before finishing off with a best performance of 41.56 seconds.
