2012 & 2016 Induction Highlights

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER IN 2012 - SEE HOW IT UNFOLDED

THE 2012 Hall of Fame induction ceremony, held at the Novotel Langley Hotel in Perth on May 19, was extra special because two champion players were elevated to the Hall of Legends, joining the original four Legends from the 2005 ceremony.
Sandra Brentnall, who was Australia's first goalscorer at international level and the first female to score a hat-trick in Aussie colours, joined the Hall of Legends, as did WA's greatest goalkeeper Robbie Zabica. Three of the original Legends - Gary Marocchi, Ron Adair and John McInroy - were there on the night to congratulate the newcomers, while the other Legend, Robbie Dunn, had a previous commitment and sent on his good wishes.
Many other great contributors to the WA, Australian and international game were also saluted on the night in the other categories.

Hall of Recognition: John Birighitti, Giuliano Cantoni, Peter Faulks, Dr Ken Fitch, Andy Gorton, Dr Ken Maguire, Jimmy Mayers, Frank Moretti, Doug Stewart.

 THE 20th ANNIVERSARY - RELIVE THIS GREAT EVENT

THE 20th Anniversary Hall of Fame 2016 induction ceremony, held at the Crown Casino in Perth on November 26 before a record crowd of over 430, was special because another worthy recipient was elevated to the Hall of Legends, joining the six Legends from the 2005 and 2012 ceremonies.
WA's most successful State team coach Alan Vest (who achieved history-making triumphs in Asia as well as leading WA to victories over the likes of Glasgow Rangers) became the first coach to be inducted into the Hall of Legends. He joined the other Legends - Sandra Brentnall, Robbie Zabica, Robbie Dunn, Gary Marocchi, Ron Adair and John McInroy - who were all there on the night to congratulate the newcomer.

Many other great contributors to the WA, Australian and international game were also saluted on the night in the other categories.  Aso making the 20th Anniversary extra special was the appearance of two very Special Guests Speakers - former Perth Glory coach Bernd Stange and former SBS football broadcasting icon Les Murray.
