The City of Sydney Basketball Association (CSBA) is a not-for-profit community organisation focused on developing the game of basketball. With players coming from the Eastern and South Eastern suburbs as well as Inner City and Inner West. CSBA uses basketball as a tool to facilitate community development.

In line with our community goals, CSBA has partnered with Sporting Schools to provide fun and energetic basketball programs. These programs allow our qualified and enthusiastic coaches to pass on our love of basketball and promote a strong relationship between your school and CSBA. 

 

SPORTING SCHOOLS PROGAMS

Sporting Schools is a $200 million Australian Government initiative constructed to assist schools in increasing children's participation in sport and connecting them with community sporting opportunities. The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) has partnered with over 30 National Sporting Organisations (NSO's) to provide quality sporting programs to school children through primary school and a targeted program for year 7 and 8. 

These programs provide children with a positive sporting eperience by focusing on having fun, having a go and getting active. They come free of charge to the families to ensure equal opportunities and access for all.

Aims:

• Improve childrens basic movement skills and coordination
• Educate about the benefits of sport in schools
• Encourage a lifelong participation in sport
• Establish connections between the children and their local sporting communities
• Drive national participation growth in sport

How it works 

1. Register your school via Sporting School website
2. Apply for funding
3. Book your program with CSBA via Sporting Schools booking system
4. Run the selected program with nationally endorsed products 
5. Provide feedback

Sporting Schools program provides an easy way for schools to save time by booking and registering through their easy two step registration process and online booking system.
