SYDNEY COMETS REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAM REGISTRATION DAY
SUNDAY JANUARY 31ST 2010
The Sydney Comets representative program will be conducting its annual Registration Day at Alexandria Basketball Stadium on Sunday January 31st. This is compulsory for all players, coaches, team managers and a parent.
The purpose of the Registration Day is to ensure the following items are completed, paid and/or updated.
Player & Parent Agreement forms
Coaches Agreement & Child protection forms
Payment of Representative Levies
Coach, Manager and Player registration
Update player local competition team information
Representative Levies for 2010 will be $420 per player. Reserves pay $210. The representative levy cover: training fees, practice games, Sydney Junior Championships, and NSW State Championship court fees, a team photo and the player’s ticket to the presentation night dinner.
Those players who are unable to pay the levy on this day must pay prior to the first Sydney Junior Championship game scheduled for March 14th 2009.
One of the requirements to play basketball in New South Wales is all players must be registered. Player registration covers players insurance for twelve months and is set at $80. No player will be allowed to play in any game in local competition or representative basketball without being registered.
On this day all players will be given chocolates to sell. It will be each child’s commitment to sell two boxes of chocolates. The selling of the chocolates will run for 4 weeks. The team manager of your team will be responsible for the collection of money for the chocolates.
Team managers can also use this opportunity to sort out playing uniforms for the season. Note that the association provides each player with a playing uniform on loan for the season which remains the property of CBSA.
The association is also in the process of trying to organise a bench course on this day. Details to follow.
To avoid everyone turning up at the same time I have allocated different times for your respective age group.
Under 12 & Under 14 - 9am – 10.30am
Under 16 & Under 18 - 10.30am – 11.30am
