28 May: Central's player selected in Australian U17 Team

At the most recent Australian training camp in Canberra, Daniel Carlin has been selected to represent Australia at the first ever U17 Men’s world Championships that will take place in July of this year.

Each and every Lions member should feel a sense of pride with the significant number of athletes we have now taking part in elite High Performance programs.  Whilst Daniel was the one of the first he certainly hasn’t been the last and we now have a large number of boys and girls in SASI and DNSP squads which have links to the National Intensive Training Centre Program operating under the umbrella of Basketball Australia, Department of Sport and Recreation and the Australian Institute of Sport.

We will be updating this article soon, after chatting with Daniel.  In the meantime check out the Basketball SA website for more information.
