State Fencing Centre Maintenance Supervisor (SFCMS)
The SFCMS role has two major components. Most are significantly easier if the SFCMS is frequently present at the State Fencing Center (SFC).
1) Maintenance and cleaning of SFC.
- Ensure all pistes are in working order. Replace faulty equipment organise for repairs to be done.
- Trash and recycling to be emptied as needed
- All machines, A/C, fans, and lights are off at end of night, and that the place is locked down. (Coaches who regularly use the center should know to do this if SFCM is not present)
- Booking a cleaner for the Centre as necessary - usually once a month (this has been done through airtasker.) Sweeping the centre at least once a week.
- Ensuing that the lines on the pistes are kept clear and bright – this will mean redoing the lines after a cleaner has been in.
- Keep FV Office clean.
- Replenish medical/First Aid kit(s) as necessary.
- Do a yearly stocktake of the Centre’s equipment
- Identify and warn people who are routinely responsible for messes that they may be banned from using the SFC.
2) Co-Ordinate Set-up and Pack-up of Centre when AFC Tournaments are held in Victoria
- Become familiar with the set-up and pack-up procedure for the SFC when National Tournaments are held there.
- Co-ordinate and help the volunteers. Ensure everything is set-up properly and on time and then packed away when the tournament is over.
The SFCMS will report to the Operations Manager
The positions pays $25.00 per hour. Hours required per week will vary, but the position usually only requires 2 hours of work per week – more when there is a National Tournament and when a stocktake needs to be done.
