Congratulations to Nicholas Lee who was presented with the 2018 Club Person of the Year Award at the 56th AGM held at the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria on 2nd October.
The Club Person of the Year Award was instigated by Past Commodore Roger Bennett, and is an opportunity for a member or members to receive recognition from the General Committee for their actions, behaviour or efforts.
In making the presentation Commodore Richard Lowe said that the award had been given for Nick's actions at QCYC over the summer of 2017/18 when he had been invaluable around the club, particularly in supporting the OOD and generally helping other members. There is not much that Nick misses around QCYC or the Royal Geelong and it is great to see such youthful enthusiasm. He is a family member of QCYC, the son of Dee and Brendon on Happy Hour. Nick's sailing experience does not end there. He has sailed Cadets and is popular as a crew on many yachts around Queenscliff and Geelong.
Congratulations Nick.
