Kingaroy Amateur Basketball Association

Kingaroy Basketball Association is a club for men, women and children of all ages to play social and competitive basketball.  KBA runs 2 Seasons a year and competition and training are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Kingaroy State High School Indoor Centre, Toomey Street, Kingaroy.  From our U10 Aussie Hoops program, to Under 12's, Under 15's, Under 17's and Open basketball, there is something for all ages and skill levels. Kingaroy Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops

Kingaroy Basketball are accredited providers of the Vicinity Centres Aussie Hoops program.  This program runs each Tuesday afternoon for children between the ages of 5 - 9 years, all four school terms of the year from 3.45pm to 4.45pm at the Kingaroy State High School Indoor Centre, Toomey Street, Kingaroy.  See link for more information about the Aussie Hoops program:

KBA Under 12's Competition

The KBA Under 12's competition is for players aged 8 - 11 years (born 2008, 2009 and 2010)* and our Competition Coordinator for Season 1 2019 is Dan Peden.

This season our U12's will go back to doing a group training session before games on a Tuesday afternoon and training starts at 4.30pm for all teams.  Competition games will then begin at 5pm using both courts. Teams in the Under 12 Competition will be limited to a maximum of 5!  Season 1 will finish up with finals at then end of Term 2 2019.  Pay your players Basketball Qld Registration and Insurance and KBA Court Fees online to secure a spot on a team. 

Basketball QLD Registration Annual Membership:  $32.26

KBA Court Fees U12's Season 1 2019: $95

* As we promote growth and encourage learning, players older or younger may participate in this competition considering skill level and experience.  Any player falling outside this age group may apply to the Competition Coordinator to approve eligibility.

KBA Under 15's Competition

The KBA Under 15's competition is for players aged 12 - 14 years (born 2005, 2006 and 2007)* and our Competition Coordinator for Season 1 2019 is Dan Peden.

Competition games begin at 6pm using both courts. Teams in the Under 15 Competition will be limited to a maximum of 5!  Season 1 will finish up with finals at the end of Term 2 2019.  Pay your players Basketball Qld Registration and Insurance and KBA Court Fees online to secure a spot on a team.

Open Basketball

If you are looking to play basketball competitively, Kingaroy Basketball Open basketball is for you. For players 15+ years (Born 2004 and earlier).  Open Basketball will run on a Thursday night at the Kingaroy State High School Indoor Centre alongside our Social Mixed Basketball. Sean Wicks is our Open Coordinator for Season 1 2019.

Open Basketball 

When: Thursday Nights

Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Cost: $130 Season 

*(1/2 price - $65 - for any player also playing U20's)

BQ Annual Membership: $32.26  You will need this to play - it covers everyone if an injury should occur (and if you're in the shape I'm in, there's a high probability you'll need the cover).
