May PowerPlayer & Coach of the month
The State Basketball League has announced the May SBL PowerPlayer & Coach of the month.
The WSBL Competition PowerPlay Coach of the Month went to Robert Butt (Kalamunda Eastern Suns) for leading his side to a 5-1 record for the month and moving up to third place. The Eastern Suns have also had an impressive win over the fancied Rockingham Flames to round out their impressive month.
The PowerPlayer of the month for WSBL is Shelley Boston (Mandurah Magic) who has had an outstanding month leading her side in two crucial victories over the Hawks & Flames. For May Boston averaged 21.8 points & 13.6 rebounds as she dominated inside for her team.
The PowerPlay Coach of the month for the MSBL Competition against went to Andy Stewart (Lakeside Lightning) who continues to lead his side on top of the ladder. The Lightning are 8-0 and have an average winning margin of 18.8 points in May showing their dominance of the competition. Stewart also led his side to a crucial victory over the second placed Buccaneers to tighten their hold on top of the ladder.
The PowerPlayer of the month for MSBL is Adrian Majstrovich (Kalamunda Eastern Suns) who led the Suns to a 3-3 month. In May Majstrovich averaged 31.5 points & 10.6 rebounds to cement his dominance in the competition.
