Winners are Grinners - Round 2

Last weekend was round 2 for most of our teams and quite a few brought home the bacon – seven out of our 18 competition teams were winners.  We had three draws and eight losses to go along with the wins giving us a success rate of 44% of the points on offer overall.

All three of our senior women’s teams won.  The new Senior Women State League 4 East team (pictured) notched a 1 – nil victory away to Whitehorse United, the Women’s State League 3 team defeated FC Clifton 1 – nil for their first win and the Women’s SL4 North team continued their winning ways with a 2 – 0 win over Whittlesea United.

Amongst the senior men the Metro 6 North West team were most successful with an 8-1 win over Sunbury United.  The men’s State League 4 and reserves were in round 5 already and came away with a draw to the ressies and a loss to the seniors against Boroondara-Carey Eagles.

The Youth Boys had double success with the U18s beating Spring Hills 4 nil and the U17s defeating FC Birrarung Gold 6-2.
