Round 2 Report 2015

Grand River Gargoyles

Hamilton Wildcats

Margaret Greene Park, Guelph

May 30, 2015

Gargs beat the Cats 12.5.77 - 9.7.61

While the day was still warm and humid the Gargoyles got out to a quick lead, kicking with the wind and getting six goals to the Wildcats' one. As the second quarter started, so did the rain. Before it got too wet the Gargoyles kicked a couple more goals, and as the conditions worsened the Wildcats got better. Hamilton kicked three goals to win the quarter, but the Gargoyles still led by 27 at halftime.

Throughout halftime and the start of the third quarter, the sun came back out which gave momentum back to the Gargoyles kicking with the wind again. Taking advantage of the conditions the Gargs kicked four goals to the Wildcats one, giving them a 44 point lead. As the fourth quarter started, so did the rain again. Hamilton started a comeback by kicking 4.5 in the fourth quarter, but the Gargoyles' lead was too much and Grand River won 12.5.77 - 9.7.61
