Bio: A decorated career in the WNBL and on the international stage has made Poto one of the most respected players in the competition, and as she nears 200 WNBL games the diminutive guard doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

Poto emerged with the Sydney Flames as a 17-year-old in 1995, returning to the club for the 1997 WNBL Championship after a year at the AIS, also captaining the Australian Gems to the 1997 FIBA Junior World Championship silver medal.

A move to Europe materialised in 1999, joining French team CJM Bourges Basket where Poto would go on to win the 2001 Euroleague title. A fruitful stay in France ensured the guard would be on the plane to Athens in 2004, helping the Jayco Opals to the Olympic Games silver medal.

A return to Sydney saw Poto continue to be a star of the competition, leading the Flames to consecutive WNBL Grand Finals (2007, 2008) and taking out her first Robyn Maher WNBL Defensive Player of the Year award.
Poto returned to Europe in 2009 before again suiting up for the Flames in 2011, adding a second WNBL Defensive Player of the Year accolade to her collection.

Career Highlights: FIBA Oceania Championships: 2007, 2009, Olympic Games: 2004 (Silver), FIBA Junior World Championship: 1997 (Silver), WNBL Defensive Player of the Year: 2009, 2012, Euroleague Champion: 2001, Euroleague Final Four All-Star Five: 2005.
